Digital Prepress

Our pre-press facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to meet our client's high standards, and our pre-press team ensures the best processing results with necessary value addition for all jobs. We produce artworks as an added service to our clients. Any artwork received from an outside agency is first checked digitally to understand its true nature for quality reproduction and modified after consulting the client. Images are retouched and color corrected as required on Apple G4 PowerMacs and Intel Pentium 4 systems. If needed, custom color profiles are created for special needs and applied on the job. Scanning is done on a high-end, flat-bed scanner.

We are familiar with all the popular desktop programs including Adobe PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, In-design, Quark Xpress, CorelDraw and Postscript. The edited files are proofed accurately on a color-calibrated inkjet printer HP5542 running on a Kodak Matchprint RIP for client's approval. The RIP allows extensive color management through ICC Profiles and ensures as close a match as possible with the printed press sheet. We also provide PDF soft proofs through e-mail. After receiving the client's approval, the job is prepared for output. With all the bleeding, trapping, registration and cut-crease marks, a full size imposition is prepared with GATF color bar on every single job. This file then is ready to be imaged on an Imagesetter or CTP/CTCP System. This process ensures perfect registration and sharp screen on press and even the screening and dots are adjusted according to the nature of the job. Various types of screening are used from conventional to Stochastic/FM screening. This system of creating fully imposed flats is very useful for faster and sharper registration on press.

Our in-house pre-press has a complete backup system for all jobs processed by us. This archive provides the customer with the unique facility to recall any job, any time and reprint it. Due to the nature of our files, any change can be carried out before reprinting a job.

Other digital activities such as data sharing and converting print-jobs to PDFs, which can be used by the client for their website, are also offered. We also maintain an extensive digital library of logos, product shots and stock images for our clients. Any pre-approved image can be retrieved easily and used for current jobs.
